The Patient Care Technician (PCT) program is no-cost for the first ten students enrolled in the Spring 2025 term. PCT equips students with the essential skills and knowledge needed to excel in healthcare settings. Through hands-on training, students will learn to provide compassionate care, perform vital signs monitoring, phlebotomy, EKGs, and assist with daily patient activities. The program includes an externship at a local healthcare facility, offering real-world experience and the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge in a professional environment. The course includes the cost of textbooks and the national certification exam.

The course offers comprehensive training in laboratory procedures, radiology, pharmacy skills, preventative care, surgery and recovery, and includes Animal CPR Certification. Graduates receive an OCC Certificate of Completion. Students who complete their 100 clinical externship hours are eligible to sit for the NAVTA Veterinary Assistant exam.
